Reading about Self-fulfilling prophecy reminded me  The Space of Variations (First book of Vadim Zeland).

In Transurfing you just choose what you really want and get it. Self-fulfilling prophecy is a prediction: “The self-fulfilling prophecy is, in the beginning, a false definition of the situation evoking a new behaviour which makes the original false conception come ‘true’.”
